At the LIFECLOOVER2 project, we continue to promote sustainable solutions that have a real impact on the circularity of polyolefins plastics industry.
We have just manufactured, at REYDE’s facilities, drums for non-food applications, using 50% r-HDPE PCR, designed to reduce environmental impact without compromising quality, strength or safety.
This breakthrough has been made possible thanks to coordinated work throughout the value chain, where the partners are committed to sustainable solutions. The recycled plastic material was supplied by GCR Group, from drums that had completed their reuse loops.
The incorporation of r-HDPE not only reduces dependence on virgin raw materials, but also gives plastic waste a second life, transforming it into high-value industrial solutions.
The next phase will focus on testing to validate functionality mechanical properties.
