Within LIFE CLOOVER², we continue progressing in the validation of our closed-loop model with the return of another reuse cycle of PP crates after their use in fresh produce distribution. Beyond the cycle itself, this milestone once again highlights how the system operates across the full value chain.
Circuit coordination is managed by CAPEC, ensuring traceability and proper system performance. The engagement of the wholesalers who are members of AMAFRUVA enables effective crate recovery under real conditions, while collaboration with the wholesaler Agorafruit allows validation under real market conditions while packing lemons.
As already demonstrated, the model is designed to maximize reuse cycles, up to three, before moving to recycling, where the material is reintroduced into the system to produce new crates.
This is not just another operational step; it is further evidence that the system works end-to-end.
