In the LIFE CLOOVER² project, we have just manufactured, at Plasben SL facilities, our first crates made of 100% r-HDPE PCR for commercial packaging, using recycled plastic obtained from the closed-loop system itself. This breakthrough demonstrates that post-consumer recycled polyethylene can be integrated into demanding logistics applications while maintaining the technical performance required for commercial use.
The manufacture of these crates is a decisive step towards reducing dependence on virgin raw materials, incorporating recycled plastic into high-performance products, and reducing the environmental footprint associated with commercial packaging.
In the next stages, their performance will be evaluated, analysing aspects such as structural strength, dimensional stability, and performance in repeated handling and storage cycles.
We continue to move towards a production model in which waste is transformed into resources and circularity becomes a tangible industrial reality.
