High-density polyethylene (HDPE) light-brown crates have successfully completed their reuse circuit, reaching five full reusing cycles before recycling phase.
In July 2025, 480 v-HDPE (virgin) crates were manufactured by PLASBEN and delivered to the wholesaler at Mercavalencia (Agropons).
After five reusing cycles, 464 crates have been returned, demonstrating the high resistance of the packaging.
Once these cycles have been completed, the crates will be sent for recycling at GCR facilities, prior to the production of two new types of r-HDPE (recycled) crates, containing 70% and 100% of recycled material (r-HDPE), which will be manufactured at PLASBEN.
