This week saw the start of the 2026 Circular Training Itinerary at CIEC MADRID – Madrid Circular Economy Innovation Centre with a  programme to support entrepreneurs and professionals who want to transform their ideas into circular, solid and forward-looking business models. The programme features leading speakers in sustainable design and the circular economy.

The first session took place on Tuesday 24th February, entitled ‘From theoretical circularity to practical reality. Specific examples with plastic packaging’ given by Teresa Martinez, Director of Circular Economy Projects at SINTAC RECYCLING.

Teresa shared with the audience the LIFECLOOVER2 project, which she coordinates at SINTAC, as an example of real circularity applied to plastic materials and packaging. She outlined the objectives and activities carried out, focused on promoting the reuse and recycling of polyolefin plastic packaging, such as drums, bottles and boxes, for agri-food use.
