LIFECloover² Reaches Project Midpoint with On-site Monitoring Visit at REYDE Headquarters

On May 7, the LIFECloover² consortium marked an important highlight with a monitoring visit from ELMEN, the external agency appointed by the European Commission to evaluate the project’s progress. The visit was led by Pepa Diamantopoulos, the official monitor in charge of reviewing the project, and took place at REYDE’s headquarters in Barcelona.

Project partners were present for the occasion, coming together to take stock of achievements and developments as the project reaches its halfway point.

The day began with a guided tour of REYDE’s manufacturing facilities, where the group was shown how the different types of reusable and recyclable containers are produced, an essential part of the LIFECloover² system.

Following the tour, participants shared a lunch at REYDE, offering a moment of informal exchange and networking before diving into the formal evaluation session.

In the afternoon meeting, the consortium presented the project’s progress to Mrs Diamantopoulos, focusing on both technical developments and communication activities carried out so far. The session provided a valuable opportunity to discuss next steps and reinforce the project’s shared commitment to delivering innovative and sustainable solutions for circular packaging in the agri-food sector.

This visit marks a key step in LIFECloover²’s journey, highlighting not only the solid progress made but also the strong collaboration among partners, and their ongoing dedication to creating a certified, scalable, and food-safe circular system across Europe.

The LIFECloover² Project, coordinated by the Circular Economy Projects Department of SINTAC Recycling, continues to expand with the incorporation of GCR.
