INTER LIFE 2026

Our Coordinator of the LIFECLOOVER2 project attended in Madrid the first INTERLIFE meeting in Spain, organised by MINISTRY OF ECOLOGICAL TRANSITION AND DEMOGRAPHIC CHALLENGE MITECO on 11 March, with more than 100 attendees. It was an interesting networking event for the exchange of experiences between LIFE project coordinators in Spain in recent years.

The event was moderated by Martín Fernández Díez-Picazo, Deputy Director of European Funds. The session was focused on two topics of interest to all: the Replicability and Sustainability of LIFE Projects. Success stories in different areas were shared.

Organised into round tables and participatory group sessions, there was a presentation by the Portuguese National LIFE Point, which shared details of its ‘Good Practices Guidebook’ on policy uptake, replication, transfer, added economic value and capacity building of organisations in LIFE projects.

Our LIFE CLOOVER2 project coordinator had the opportunity to identify synergies with other LIFE coordinators who are operating in the same geographical areas of Spain as our project.

Among the conclusions of the conference was a unanimous request to policy makers in the European Commission, Council and Parliament for the LIFE Environment Programme to continue in the future. All agreed that Ecology and Economy must go together.
