SINTAC Recycling, as coordinator of the LIFE CLOOVER² project, together with CAPEC CAJAS EN ECONOMIA CIRCULAR, as leader of WP2 for commercial packaging, has conducted technical visits to key companies in Andalusia and Castilla-La Mancha. The objective was to learn about existing initiatives, establish synergies and analyse opportunities for replicating the pilot demonstration of plastic produce crates in other regions.
The itinerary began in Seville, where Teresa Martinez and César Sánchez Alonso visited the facilities of Reciclados La Red by Veolia in Alcalá de Guadaira on June 30.
The company has extensive experience in the recycling of polyolefins, both rigid and flexible. During the visit, knowledge and experiences were exchanged regarding management, collaboration and sustainability models. The meeting also confirmed that the replicability toolkit developed within the framework of LIFE CLOOVER² is effective and comprehensive.
Subsequently, the agenda continued with visits in Castilla-La Mancha to two plastics converters producing polyolefin crates for fruits and vegetables, Plásticos Garpeber and ENVAJARA SA, on July 1. During these meetings, the possibilities of implementing the LIFE CLOOVER² model in their region were assessed, combining sustainability with food safety.
These types of meetings reinforce one of the fundamental pillars of LIFE projects: sharing knowledge, transferring best practices and facilitating the replication of solutions that have already proven effective. In this way, their reach and impact can be expanded to new regional contexts.
